The lens thickness detection equipment consists of multiple parts such as motion control system, spectral confocal detection system, pneumatic part, automatic calibration part, adaptive adjustment system, etc. Previously, the device used a combination of a microcontroller and an industrial computer for execution, which resulted in low overall accuracy and limited testing bandwidth, leading to average efficiency.

Faced with the increasing demand for lens manufacturing, customers have put forward higher requirements for the performance of lens thickness detection equipment. They hope that the equipment can achieve faster and more accurate detection to improve production efficiency and reduce the rate of defective products. At the same time, customers also hope that the equipment has better flexibility and scalability to adapt to possible new detection needs and technological upgrades in the future.

 

Control system composition:

 

In order to meet these customer needs, we have designed a new solution for lens thickness detection equipment. The main control part of the lens thickness detection equipment adopts SP7000Se iComputer+AxisCard combination.

Compared with traditional equipment, the detection speed of the new device has increased by nearly three times, reaching an industry-leading level. This greatly improves production efficiency and reduces production costs. By optimizing the control algorithm and hardware design, the optimized device can perform medium thickness detection on lenses at a speed of up to 1.2 seconds per grain, while the industry average is usually 4 seconds per grain. This not only greatly improves the detection efficiency, but also ensures a detection accuracy of 2 microns.

The optimized device adopts modular design, which is easy to maintain and upgrade. Customers can selectively add or replace functional modules according to their actual needs to meet different detection requirements.
